Type O266-10r Open Wagon
Designed by Artur Gorote
Built in 1979 by RSR Works, Bevice-Akohniçe, Ruhnia

On becoming RC&W manager in 1977, Artur Gorote embarked on a modernisation plan for the RSR's goods rolling stock, which even at that late date, was riddled with old, non-standard wagons of many descriptions, some of which dated as far back as the 1920s. The standard UIC wagons that were in use in many other countries were not adopted. Instead, the RSR went its own way, as usual. Shown is the first design from the new program, the 24-ton open wagon. Later examples were upgraded to 35 tons.
